1. About lolajam
lolajam is a free, community-built directory of music & comedy venues — jazz bars, comedy clubs, recording studios, and live-music spaces — and the regular events they host. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
2. Using the site
You may browse and use lolajam for personal and business purposes. You agree not to misuse the site — including scraping at scale, attempting to break or overload it, submitting malicious content, or impersonating others. We may suspend access that harms the service or other users.
3. Submissions & content
Anyone can submit a venue or listing. By submitting, you confirm the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share it. You grant lolajam a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, edit, and distribute that information as part of the directory. We review submissions by hand and may edit, decline, or remove anything that is inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate.
4. Accuracy
We work to keep listings correct, but venues change — hours, addresses, and events move or close. Information is provided “as is” without warranty. Always check directly with a venue before relying on details here. Spotted something wrong? Tell us.
5. Featured listings & payments
Venues can pay to be featured. Paid placements are billed through our payment processor (Stripe) and are clearly marked as featured. Fees are stated at checkout. You can cancel a recurring feature at any time; cancellation stops future billing and the feature ends at the close of the paid period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
6. Accounts
If you create an account, you’re responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
7. Affiliate links
Some pages (such as gear recommendations) contain affiliate links, including Amazon Associates links. If you buy through them we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never changes what we choose to list.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, lolajam is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site, or from your dealings with any venue listed here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
